Helen did these beautiful needle point red roses in about 1970. When she passed away in 1982, her daughter, Susan, hung them in her home in Bethesda, Maryland. After Susan passed away in 2006, I brought them home, where they hang in my dining room.

Helen loved and admired her grandmother, Helen Melvina (Mellie) Groesbeck Morgan. Mellie's handwork is acclaimed and preserved by her descendants. Granddaughter, Helen, was drawn to red roses as was her grandmother.
Gifts from Mellie to her sons were beautiful embroidered red roses, treasured and displayed by her descendants today. They are posted on this blog
